Event Information
The Bone Yard Trail Race is the 7th annual event, formerly known as Dust N Bones. It takes place on the Mt. Zion Bike Trail network near Brookhaven, Mississippi. The trail is described as mostly narrow, well-marked, and includes ups, downs, twists, turns, and wooden bridges.
Distances
Runners can choose from several distances:
- 50K
- 20 Miler
- 10 Miler
- 5K
The 5K distance was added for those who may want to try their first trail run.
Course and Amenities
Snacks and water are provided at the 3-mile mark, 7-mile mark, and at the finish line. The event area has a pavilion with lots of seating, but bringing a lawn chair is suggested. The organizers describe it as a great family environment and encourage participants to stay and visit. Parking is somewhat limited, so carpooling is recommended.
Venue Background
