Bone Yard Trail Race

Bone Yard Trail Race takes place May 16, 2026 at Mt. Zion Bike Trail near Brookhaven, Mississippi. The event is the seventh annual running of this race, formerly known as Dust N Bones, and offers multiple distance options for trail runners.

Distances offered:

• 50K ultramarathon distance
• 20 Miler
• 10 Miler
• 5K

The course follows mostly narrow, well marked singletrack with ups, downs, twists, turns, and wooden bridges. Snacks and water are provided at the 3 mile and 7 mile aid stations and at the finish. The venue includes a pavilion with seating; additional portable seating may be brought. Parking is somewhat limited.

Mt. Zion Bike Trails were created to promote health and fitness while enjoying the outdoors and are open to the public with no required fee; donations are accepted in a kiosk at the trail head. Profits from this run are used for trail upkeep and improvements. All participants with paid registration receive an event t shirt. Overall awards are given to the top three male and female finishers and to the top three relay teams. Registration for the event closes May 13 at 11:59 PM CT.
