Event overview
The Boddington 10 is a UK Athletics licensed 10-mile road race (licence number 30107) organised by CLC Striders on 25 January 2026. The course is officially measured and described as flat and fast. Entries for 2026 are full and a waiting list is in operation. Total places are 250.
Course and race rules
The race uses a four-lap circuit around Boddington and Barrow, starting and finishing on Boddington Lane with a short 200 m out-and-back on the first lap. The route is signed and marshalled but not fully closed to traffic, so runners must keep well to the left. Chip timing is used. Personal listening devices are prohibited except for bone-conducting devices approved under UK Athletics rules. Minimum entry age is 18 on 25/01/2026. A cut-off is in place: runners not on pace for a 2-hour finish when entering the final loop (around 7.4 miles) will be asked to withdraw.
Logistics, facilities and prizes
Race HQ is at The Gloucester Old Spot, Cheltenham (GL51 9SY). Parking is limited across three car parks and some parking locations require a short walk of up to 500 m. Toilets and portaloos will be available; there are no changing facilities. One water station at Barrow will serve approximately miles 2, 4, 6 and 8 and will offer bottle refills. Race numbers and timing chips are collected on the morning of the event. Prizes include vouchers for the first three men and women, age-category prizes in five-year bands from LV35 and MV40 upwards, a team prize for UKA-affiliated clubs, and a free post-race drink for participants. Official photos will be taken by a race photographer and live results are provided via chip timing. Entry fees listed are £20 (affiliated) and £22 (non-affiliated) plus a processing charge.
