Blue Whale Run
The Blue Whale Run takes place in Catoosa, Oklahoma. The event includes a 5K and a One Mile Fun Run. It is connected to the celebration of the 100th year of Route 66 and the re-opening of the renovated Blue Whale Park.
Participants in the 5K receive a finisher's medal. Age group awards are given for five-year standard age groups, and top three overall male and female runners also receive awards. The 5K course is certified. A virtual participation option is available. Proceeds from the event go to support the Blue Whale landmark.
The event features the Blue Whale of Catoosa, a historic 20-foot tall, 80-foot long landmark built in 1972. The park offers facilities for picnicking, fishing, and feeding turtles, with restrooms available.
Shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Packet pickup is available on the day before the race and on race day starting at 7:00 AM. Parking details are to be determined. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
