Blue Whale Run : Catoosa, Oklahoma
The Blue Whale Run is a community running and walking event held on May 30, 2026, at the Blue Whale Park along the original Route 66 in Catoosa, Oklahoma. The program includes a certified 5K and a one mile fun run on Route 66, with an in-person option and a virtual option for remote participants.

All finishers in the 5K receive a medal, and one mile participants receive their own medal. Shirts are distributed on a first come first serve basis. Awards include standard five year age group prizes, top three overall male and female awards, a fastest team award determined by the combined times of three fastest team members, and a team award for the most participants. Proceeds from the event are designated to support the Blue Whale.
Packet pickup is available the day before at the Catoosa Chamber of Commerce, 1801 N. Highway 66, Catoosa, OK 74015, and there is packet pickup at the Blue Whale site on race day. Parking on race day is located at the Reasors parking lot adjacent to the starting line. Virtual participants can submit verified proof of their run to receive event shirts and medals. The City of Catoosa owns and operates the park, which began renovations in summer 2025. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
