About the race
Blended’s Backyard Ultra is a Bronze Ticket backyard-ultra format trail event held on Saturday 5 June 2027 at Chilton Manor Farm, Chilton Candover, Hampshire SO24 9TX. Campground and registration open from Friday 4 June 2027, with camping available Friday, Saturday and Sunday for one tent or van.
The course is a loop of 6706 m that starts and finishes on the northern edge of Godsfield Copse, passes the Bugmore Hill trig point and runs through woodland trails and field sidings with some sections of gravel track. The highest point on the route is Godsfield Copse and the overall elevation gain and loss for one lap is approximately 120 m. Route conditions are variable and the route is marked; the route is subject to change.
The event follows the backyard ultra format: complete one lap (4.16666 miles) in less than one hour, then start another lap using any remaining time within the hour to recover. There is no predefined finish; the last person to complete a loop is the winner and all other competitors are recorded as DNF.
Event facilities at the camp include private trail access for the weekend, a fuel station, water stations on route and at camp, toilets, hot water for drinks, hot food available to purchase at the Yard Cafe, 24/7 medical support and race timing at event HQ, event photography, bespoke finisher medal and badge, and a one-off winner prize of £100 plus a free entry to the 2028 event.
