Blackstrap Trail Race
The Saskatoon Road Runners present the Blackstrap Trail Race at Blackstrap Provincial Park in Dundurn, SK, Canada. The course runs along the forested valley walls below Mount Blackstrap and uses a mix of wider cross-country ski trails and single track.
The event offers approximate distances:
- 5 km (approx.)
- 10 km (approx.)
Age categories include under 20 divisions, Open (20 to 34) and Masters (35 to 102). Registration is capped at 80 entries and will close if the cap is reached. Entry is non-refundable. An entry fee is stated along with applicable taxes and the Race Roster administration fee; club members receive a stated discount.
This is a green, no frills event: no T-shirts and no medals are provided, and no performance awards will be offered. Instead there will be five special draw prizes. A traditional wiener roast lunch is held after the run.
Official results, including age class and Masters subdivisions, will be posted on the organizer's website after the event. The park is located about 50 km south of Saskatoon; access is via Highway 11 to Dundurn then Highway 211 to Blackstrap Lake. A provincial park pass or daily permit is recommended.
