Blackstrap Trail Race is a forested trail running event held at Blackstrap Provincial Park in Dundurn, Saskatchewan. Runners choose between about 5 km and about 10 km courses that wind along forested valley walls beneath Mount Blackstrap. The route blends wider cross-country ski trails with single-track sections, delivering a challenging yet scenic experience in fall colors.
It’s a green, no-frills affair: no T-shirts or medals, and registration is capped to limit numbers. The entry fee is $15 per runner (plus taxes and Race Roster fees), with a $5 discount for Saskatoon Road Runners members. Gift certificates are awarded to winners in each age class (Under 20, Open, Masters in five-year groups). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
