Blacklight Run - Pomona 2026
The Blacklight Run is a night running event focused on entertainment and light effects rather than competitive performance. The event is held at the Pomona Fairplex Gate 17 and is open to participants who wish to run, walk, or sprint the course.
The event features a single distance:
- 5 km (approximately three miles)
Participants are required to wear a white shirt for the duration of the activity. Throughout the course, runners pass through Blacklight Zones where they are covered in UV Glow Powder and UV Liquid Glow. These substances react to the blacklight installations positioned along the route and at the post-event gathering.
The event schedule includes a pre-race party starting 45 minutes before the run, where music and gear giveaways take place. Participants are released from the starting line in waves every two to five minutes. After the race, an after-party features synchronized glow powder releases under large-scale blacklight assemblies.
Logistical details for the venue include a parking fee of up to $20, which must be paid in cash. There is no bag check or storage for personal belongings on-site. Water stations are located both along the course and at the finish line. Spectators may attend at no cost and can view the event from designated areas near the start and finish lines.
