Blacklight Run Indianapolis 2026
The Blacklight Run is a nighttime running event held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis. This event focuses on a social and glowing atmosphere rather than competitive timing or distance records. Participants are encouraged to wear white clothing to maximize the effect of the various glow elements encountered throughout the course.
The event features a distance of approximately 3 miles (5 km). The course includes multiple Blacklight Zones where runners are covered in UV glow powder and UV liquid glow. These substances are designed to illuminate under blacklight. The registration is open to all participants, and the course can be completed by running, sprinting, or walking.
Logistical details for the event include:
- 5 km: A course featuring UV glow zones and water stations.
The event schedule includes a pre-race party starting 45 minutes before the start, featuring music and gear giveaways. After crossing the finish line, an after-party takes place where additional glow powder is distributed under large-scale blacklight installations.
Participants must display their race bib on the front of their shirt to access the course. There is no bag check or locker service available on site. While there is no fee for spectators, there is a fee for vehicle parking at the venue. Packet pick-up is available prior to the event, and race-day pick-up is subject to an additional service fee.
