Black Hawk College 5K Hustle
The Black Hawk College 5K Hustle is a community sports event held at the Black Hawk College campus in Moline, Illinois. The event features two distinct participation options to accommodate different athletes:
- 5K Run/Walk: A route that utilizes the roads through the campus, featuring a terrain of rolling hills.
- Wheelchair Division: A separate division specifically designed for wheelchair participants, held on a flat course.
The event is centered at Building 1 on the Moline campus. Participants are directed to enter the campus via the 70th Street entrance and utilize Parking Lot 1. Registration is organized in the Student Lobby of Building 1.
The race provides recognition for top finishers, with awards presented to the overall male and female participants, as well as the top three finishers in age groups ranging from 0-14 to 70 and over. Awards are also designated for the wheelchair divisions. Additionally, the first 175 registered participants receive a fanny pack.
Following the competition, there is a post-race gathering featuring fruit, cookies, and breakfast pizza. The event also includes door prizes, such as cash awards, for which participants must be present to win. Proceeds from the event benefit the Black Hawk College Foundation and the Physical Therapist Assistant Program students. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
