BCT - Black Country Triathletes April 2027
The event takes place at Wombourne Leisure Centre in Wombourne, Wolverhampton, West Midlands WV5 8BJ on 25 and 26 April 2027. It is presented as a sprint triathlon with the following race segments:
- 400 m swim
- 20 km bike
- 5 km off-road run
The organiser describes the course as fast and mildly undulating on well tested roads, with a trail-based off-road running section. Facilities are provided at the leisure centre. Youth entrants must be 15 by 31 December in the year of the event to be eligible.
The race fee includes a free novice triathlon training session held at the race venue in March. The session covers venue layout and what to expect, guidance on basic equipment, a transition demonstration including mounting and dismounting a bike and transition layout practice, and a short pool swim technique segment focusing on front crawl or breaststroke. The session is coached by the club's level one and two coaches and entrants will be contacted about attendance after entry.
Participants who are not British Triathlon Home Nation members require a British Triathlon Race Pass. Race Pass costs specified by the organiser are £2.00 plus service charge for those aged 24 and under, and £8.00 plus service charge otherwise.
