Birdy's Backyard Ultra

Birdy's Backyard Ultra is a World Series affiliated backyard ultra held at Lake Towerrinning, Moodiarrup, Western Australia on Friday 7 August 2026. The race uses a repeated loop format: participants run a 6.71 km loop every hour, and continue as long as they can. The event follows the last one standing format, in which the event ends when only one runner completes a loop while all others have stopped.

The venue is a lakeside caravan park and campground dedicated to the event for its duration. The site provides space for participants and supporters together in a contained location. The organizer limits on-site numbers so the campground and caravan park operate exclusively for the event while it runs.

The event is affiliated with Ultra Series and is presented alongside a series of similar backyard ultramarathons. Entries for this edition opened on Wednesday 1 October 2025. Volunteer roles are used to support the event; volunteers may earn a 20 percent discount applicable to a future Ultra Series event, which can be accrued or transferred under the event terms.
