Event Overview
The Bigfoot Half Marathon takes place in Estes Park, Colorado. The event features two primary distances:
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
- 3.1 Miles (5K Run/Walk)
The Half Marathon begins at the Estes Park Events Complex located at 1125 Rooftop Way. Runners will finish downtown at Bond Park. A shuttle service operates after the event to transport participants back to the starting area. The 5K Run/Walk features a flat and fast course. This event is cupless, meaning participants are expected to bring their own reusable cups or purchase one during check-in.
The finish line for both races is located in Bond Park, where the Bigfoot Days Festival occurs simultaneously. The festival grounds host over 50 vendors and booths along with live music and specific appearances by Bigfoot celebrities.
Registered participants receive several items and amenities. Half marathon runners receive a Bigfoot hoodie and a finisher medal made of wool socks. All participants are provided with one beer from Lumpy Ridge Brewing after the race. The 5K event includes a costume contest with prizes for the best costumes in both adult and child categories. Packet pickup sessions are held the day prior to the race at the Estes Park Mountain Shop and on the morning of the event at specific locations based on the race distance.
