Bigfoot 5K 2026
The Bigfoot 5K is an annual timed event taking place in Remer, Minnesota, a location recognized as the home of Bigfoot and a filming site for the television program Finding Bigfoot. The event features a single distance available for both runners and walkers:

The 5 km course is characterized as flat and traverses a variety of surfaces. Participants move through city streets and wooded areas, with the path consisting of pavement, sandy trails, dirt sections through the woods, gravel roads, and hard-packed trails. The entire route is clearly marked for navigation.
The event occurs at the Home of Bigfoot with the start line situated at the local Depot. Facilities include on-site parking and accessible showers for participants after the event. Along with the race, the day includes additional themed activities such as a BBQ and storytelling. Registration options are available for open age groups as well as a specific youth category for those aged 14 and under. On-site registration and packet pickup are available on the day of the event, where participants are required to present a photo ID and sign a waiver.
