Event Overview
The Big Footer 5K and Walk takes place in Mentor, Ohio. It is a 5K (3.1-mile) event on a paved course that runs through the Lake County Board of DD/Deepwood Campus, near the Great Lakes Mall. The route includes one hill.
Registration Details
The standard registration fee is $25. Free registration is offered to two groups: persons over the age of 70 and those in the military. Runners and walkers who dress up like Big Foot also receive a free race entry. Entry for these groups requires ID. Bicycles and rollerblades are not permitted on the course.
Event Features
Participants receive an original Big Footer t-shirt, a race packet, and a pancake breakfast. Prizes are awarded for race day contests, such as spotting the most Big Foots or receiving a flag from Big Foot himself. Race results are divided into male and female categories, with further division by age group.
Packet Pick-Up
Race packets can be picked up at three locations and times:
- Friday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Second Sole Mentor on 8791 Mentor Avenue.
- Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Lake County DD Foley Fieldhouse on 8121 Deepwood Boulevard.
- Race morning starting at 7:30 AM at 8121 Deepwood Boulevard.
