About the race
The adidas Runners City Night is an evening running and inlineskating event on the Kurfürstendamm in Berlin City West, with start and finish near the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche. The event offers timed competitions for runners and skaters and a public Race Village with exhibitors and a customization area. Entry to the Race Village is free.
Distances and formats:
- 5 km run
- 10 km run
- 10 km inlineskating
- 10 km double start (10 km skating then 10 km running)
Timekeeping uses a single-use transponder affixed to the back of the bib; the bib must not be folded. Time limits are 45 minutes for skaters and 1:30 hours for runners from crossing the start line. All finishers receive a medal that glows in the dark; an optional personalized medal engraving can be added during registration. Age-class winners from AK40 in the 10 km run receive a free entry for the following year; winners and podium places are awarded according to published categories.
Participant information and the start pass are sent by email about 7 to 10 days before the event. Start numbers are person-bound and must be worn visibly on the chest. There are changing tents on site but no showers. A bag drop is available for 5 EUR if booked in advance; on-site booking is not possible. The event is organized under the rules of the German Athletics Association and supervised by the Berlin Athletics Association.
Certain items are prohibited on the event grounds for safety, including weapons, pyrotechnics, glass containers, drones, animals except guide dogs, and bicycles or e-scooters. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
