Bendigo Dragon Mile
The Bendigo Dragon Mile is an annual mile road race held through the main streets of Bendigo, starting in Pall Mall. The event takes place during the Easter Parade period and draws large spectator crowds of approximately 20,000 lining the course.
Bendigo Harriers coordinates the event, which includes a range of age-group and open categories. Categories run together for males and females except for the Mini Mile, and include Mini Mile for primary-aged children, primary school Year 5 and 6, secondary school Year 7–8, Year 9–10, Year 11–12, and open and masters divisions such as 40+ and 50+. The race has a history of attracting high-level competitors and also offers opportunities for children and adults to run in front of their local community.
The race has sponsorship support; Sandeman Build is listed as the sponsor for 2026, and the next Sandeman Build Neil Macdonald Dragon Mile is scheduled for Easter Sunday 2027. Results for recent years are maintained for 2023 through 2026. Local community groups and named sponsors are acknowledged by the organisers.
