Dragon Mile
The Sandeman Build Neil Macdonald Dragon Mile will take place on Easter Sunday 2027. The event is part of Bendigo's Easter Parade and is coordinated by the Bendigo Harriers Athletics Club. The race runs through the main streets of Bendigo, starting in Pall Mall. Crowds of approximately 20,000 line the streets to watch the race. The sponsor for 2026 is Sandeman Build.
Races include a Mini Mile for girls Grade 4 and under and a Mini Mile for boys Grade 4 and under, primary school Grade 5 and 6, secondary school Year 7-8, Year 9-10 and Year 11-12, plus open categories including 40+ and 50+. Males and females run together except in the Mini Mile. Entrants report on race day to the starting point in Pall Mall at the Gold Monument to collect race bib numbers. The race has attracted competitive athletes over its history and recent results and past winners are recorded.
