Event Overview

The Beer & Bagel Nebraska event is an off-road running weekend held at the Country Drive Golf Course in Ashland. This long-standing tradition features rugged trails and untamed natural terrain without man-made obstacles. Participants can choose between different distances held over two days, with both courses utilizing the same trail system.

The available distances include:

  • 4-ish mile run
  • 10-ish mile run
  • The Squatchy (both distances)

Participants who choose "The Squatchy" option complete the 10-ish mile course on Saturday and the 4-ish mile course on Sunday. Those who finish both days receive a special medal.

Race Experience and Amenities

This is a USATF sanctioned event and is professionally timed. Every registered runner receives a souvenir race bib, a finishers award, and a long-sleeve tech shirt. The shirts are unisex and available in sizes XS to XXL, featuring slogans related to the event theme.

The post-race activities, referred to as the Hoedown, include music provided by a DJ, tailgate games, and opportunities for photographs with a Sasquatch character. Food and beverages provided to participants after the run include bagels, chili, and local brews.

Registration and Logistics

There is no race day registration for this event. Those wishing to bring guests who are not running can purchase a "Companion Pass." This pass allows access to the post-race food, drinks, and entertainment, though it does not include a race shirt. Parking at the Country Drive Golf Course venue is free for all attendees. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
