Bedford Red Brick Run
The Bedford Red Brick Run takes place in Bedford, Iowa. The event includes three distances: a 2-mile run/walk, a 5 km run, and a 10 km run. The 2-mile course uses brick streets and pavement, is mostly flat, and has one small hill at the halfway point. The 5 km route also uses brick and pavement and features one long, gradual hill towards the end. The 10 km route follows the 5 km path but extends onto country gravel roads, which include a hilly section.
Registration includes entry and a race t-shirt for the first 120 registrants. All proceeds benefit the Bedford Area Chamber. On race day, a Pancake Breakfast is hosted by the Bedford Fire Department from 6-10 am at the Fire Station, located two blocks east of the Courthouse. Town-wide yard sales also occur on race day.
Restrooms are available in City Hall, across the street from the Courthouse. Strollers are permitted, but bicycles are not allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
