Bedford Red Brick Run - Race information
The Bedford Red Brick Run takes place on May 16, 2026 in Bedford, Iowa, with courses routed through town streets and nearby country roads. The event offers timed running and walking options and provides a race t-shirt to the first 120 registrants. All proceeds benefit the Bedford Area Chamber.
Course surfaces and terrain vary by distance. Restrooms are available in City Hall across the street from the Courthouse. Strollers are permitted for walkers and runners; bicycles are not allowed. Portions of the 5K route use a state highway that is monitored by the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department during the event.
Other race day items and local activities are linked to the event. The local fire department hosts a pancake breakfast at the fire station two blocks east of the Courthouse. Local businesses provide Race Day Deals that are highlighted in runner packets. Town-wide yard sales occur in Bedford on race day.
