Event Overview

The Because We Care 5K Run & Walk is an event hosted by the We Care Foundation. Its purpose is to bring the community together to support local children fighting cancer and their families. Registration proceeds provide direct assistance to pediatric cancer families, including monthly gas cards for treatment travel, nutritional support, We Care Kits, emergency assistance, and other family resources.

Event Details

The event takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 7000 Taylor Ave Suite 1 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. It is a family-friendly event open to participants of all ages, including runners, walkers, teams, and people with strollers.

Participants can expect a professionally timed 5K run and walk. All registered participants receive a participation medal. Placement trophies are awarded to top finishers in each age group, and overall awards are given to the Top 3 overall finishers, separate from age group awards.
