Because We Care 5K
The Because We Care 5K is a community event held in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Hosted by the We Care Foundation, the event focuses on providing support for local pediatric cancer families. Registration proceeds are used to fund resources such as treatment travel assistance, nutritional support, and emergency family aid.
The event features a timed course and is open to participants of all ages. The following distance is available:
- 5 km run and walk
The course is open to runners, walkers, teams, and participants with strollers. The race is professionally timed, and all registered participants receive a participation medal upon completion.
Trophies are awarded to the top three overall finishers, as well as the top finishers in each specific age group. Participants who register by March 20th receive an exclusive trucker hat. Post-race refreshments, including drinks and snacks, are provided for all attendees.
