The Flaming Unicorn
The Flaming Unicorn is a free night run held as part of the 10-year anniversary of Beaver Flat 50 (BFF) at Saskatchewan Landing Equestrian Campground, Saskatchewan Landing No. 167, SK, Canada on September 19, 2026.
The event offers two main distances:
- Flaming 5k follows the Horseshoe Hustle 5 route and includes a disco aid station at 3.5 km.
- Flaming 10k follows the Beaver Fever 10 route with a disco aid station at the halfway point.
This is not a timed event and is framed more as a social running party than a competitive race. Aid Station 1, Windsor Knot, will host a disco-style party; Flaming 5k runners detour to that station before returning to the regular route. Bib pickup is available before the run and event merchandise and swag will be on site.
Organizers recruit volunteers, including at least four course sweepers to ensure all runners return safely to the finish area. All ages are welcome; children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver, and there is a two-hour limit for children to reach the finish. The run takes place at night and participants are expected to use headlamps. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
