Event information
The Santa Bear race takes place on December 20, 2025, at Sixty Acres Park, 15200 NE 116th Street, Redmond, WA. The event is organized by Sammamish Running. Distances offered include:
- Half marathon (13.1)
- 10k
- 5k
- Beat the Bear kids run
Race features
The course is USATF certified. The events are timed and participants are asked to wear their timing chip or bib on the front torso. Packet pick-up is available before the races. Finishers receive a customized medal, a Santa Bear T-shirt and a candy cane. Holiday music will be played during the event. There is reported to be plenty of parking at the Sixty Acres trailhead. Prize gift cards are awarded to the first male and first female in each of the half marathon, 10k and 5k events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
