Bear River Trail Race
The Bear River Trail Race takes place at Bear Meadows Park in Evanston, Wyoming. The event uses the Bear River greenway, the trails of Bear River State Park, and the Rio Oso Trails near Evanston. Courses pass through river bottoms and riparian areas where participants may see local wildlife.
Aid stations are placed along the course. All finishers receive a T-shirt and a finisher award. The event is described as the inaugural running of the Bear River Trail Race.
Distances offered
- 17 Miler - 1,138 feet vertical gain; 6 hour cutoff
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles) - 684 feet vertical gain; 6 hour cutoff
- 10K (6.2 miles) - 45 feet vertical gain; 6 hour cutoff
Walkers are explicitly welcome for the 10K and the half marathon. Packet pickup and check-in occur on the morning of the race. The race start and finish are at Bear Meadows Park, 75 Bear River Dr., Evanston, WY 82930. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
