Bear River Backyard Ultra

The Bear River Backyard Ultra takes place in Delmar, Iowa on Friday, November 13, 2026. The course is on Tubbs Farm directly behind The 61 Drive-in Movie Theater at 2173 Hwy 136. Competitors complete a 4.16-mile loop each hour, on the hour, and continue until only one participant remains.

Each registered runner receives a 10 by 10 foot camp space to use as a personal aid station. Participants may bring one to three crew members to assist them. All registered runners receive a custom Bear River Backyard Ultra hockey sweater at packet pickup. Top male and female finishers receive cash prizes; prize amounts are determined by total registration numbers.

Registration is $200 and is capped at 250 participants. Food and beverages are provided during the event; participants may also bring additional supplies or nutrition. Registration closes Thursday, November 5. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
