Bear Paw Marathon
The Bear Paw Marathon takes place in Havre, Montana, offering participants the opportunity to run through the Bear Paw Mountains. The range is named for its unique island mountain formation that resembles an outstretched paw. The course travels through the foothills, passing by the lakes and rolling hills of Beaver Creek Park, which holds the distinction of being the largest county park in the United States.
Participants can choose from three different event distances:
- Full Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 5K Fun Run/Walk
The route is designed to keep participants surrounded by nature throughout the duration of the event. The course transitions from the mountainous landscape into the park environment, providing a consistent natural backdrop. The event is open to all participants without specific qualification requirements, from those attempting their first race to experienced long-distance runners. Registration options are provided for all three distances, and the event also accommodates those who wish to walk the shortest distance.
