About the race
Beach Battle Cape Town is a multisport beach event held at Strand Beach, Cape Town. Competitors move through 10 workout stations with a 500 m run between each station; the first nine stations can be completed in any order, but station 10 must be completed last and the event finishes immediately after it. The course combines running on sand and ten strength-and-conditioning stations that test power, strength, endurance, and mental toughness. Exercises include sand bag runs, bear crawls, lunges, power pulls, bucket carries, net crawls, tyre flips, sled drags, farmers carries, and a final set of line burpees.
Men and women have different prescribed distances or loads at several stations. Entry categories and distances: - Elite Male: 5.5 km - Elite Female: 5.5 km - Fun Male/Female (solo or teams): 5 km Athletes start in waves with 10–15 minute intervals. Elite athletes are timed individually by bib number and must follow completion standards at each station; failure to meet standards can result in disqualification while still permitting participation. Event conduct operates on a first-come, first-served basis for occupied stations; wait time at the final station will be deducted from overall time.
Entries include a custom medal, on-site medics, and marshalling. Minimum age is 17. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
