Be You 5K Run/Walk
The Be You 5K Run/Walk is an annual event held in Glenn Dale, Maryland. Organized for its fifth year, the event is hosted by Kingdom Girls, Inc., a nonprofit organization focused on youth empowerment. Participants can choose between an in-person registration or a virtual participation option.
The in-person course takes place on the WB&A Trail, providing a scenic path for both runners and walkers. Attendees are invited to wear whatever motivates them or their favorite costume while completing the distance. The event features multiple registration categories:
- 5K Adult Run/Walk
- 5K Kids Run/Walk (for those under 13)
- 5K Virtual Run/Walk
The registration fee for adults is $35, while children under the age of 13 can participate for $20. Those opting for the virtual race can register for a fee of $25. Packet pickup is conducted on the morning of the race at the Glenn Dale location. While participants may continue to complete the course if they arrive late, official timing is only guaranteed for those who begin within the first twenty minutes of the start.
