Be Kind To Your Mind 5k Run and Walk : event details
The event takes place in May 2026 in Jesup, GA, at 101 East Cherry Street. It offers two race options:
- 5 km run and walk
- 1 mile run and walk
Registration opens March 10, 2026. Entry fees listed are $25 for the 5k and $20 for the one mile.
Route, packet pickup, and purpose
The race is set in downtown Jesup on a new route described as a historical street route with city views. The event begins at the Train Depot. Packet pickup is scheduled for May 9 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Train Depot, with additional pickup the morning of the event from 7:00 am to 8:00 am; participants are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes before the race start.
The event is organized in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month. One hundred percent of proceeds from registration and donations will fund services in Wayne County through Anchored, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Funded services include mental health services, substance abuse counseling, and homeless transition support for uninsured people. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
