'Be A Light' 5K Mental Health Awareness Fun Run
The Be A Light 5K Mental Health Awareness Fun Run is a community event in Holy Cross, Iowa, organized by The Be A Light Project, Inc. The event features a Community 5K and a Kids Run for children ages 6 to 12. Participants ages 13 and older are invited to run, walk, or stroll the 5K at their own pace. Children in the Kids Run receive recognition for their effort and run with peers in a supportive environment.

Registration is required for all participants ages 6 and older. Participants ages 5 and under may take part free of charge and are not required to register. Check-in is located at 927 Main Street, Holy Cross, directly across from Neumann’s Bar & Grill. The Holy Cross Market operates during check-in.
Proceeds from the event support The Be A Light Project’s community-based education and outreach programs. These programs focus on increasing awareness, improving understanding, and empowering action around brain health in rural communities.
