BC Backyard Ultra - Sicamous, BC
BC Backyard Ultra is a backyard-format ultramarathon organized by Lewiston Ultra Events at Sicamous Public Beach Park in Sicamous, British Columbia. The event supports the Canadian Championship Series and Big Dog’s Backyard Ultra World Championship and is designated a SILVER TICKET event.
The route combines non-technical trail and pavement with less than 20 m of elevation gain or loss per loop. Each hour on the hour, participants must complete a loop of 6706 meters (4.167 miles / 6.7056 km). Three whistles sound three minutes before the hour, two whistles two minutes before, and one whistle one minute before; a bell marks the start of each hour. When one runner remains, they complete a final victory loop; there is only one winner and other participants are recorded as DNF.
An on-site staging area is provided for support and spectators. Entry fee is $185 CAD plus GST and UltraSignup fees. American Express and Discovery cards are not accepted. Registrations are transferable for a $20 administration fee until April 9, 2027; no transfers after that. Lewiston Ultra Events does not offer refunds and the event does not maintain a waitlist. Registration closes April 9, 2027 or when the race fills.
