About the race
BC Backyard Ultra is held at Sicamous Public Beach Park in Sicamous, British Columbia, and serves as a Silver Ticket event supporting the Canadian Championship Series and Big’s Backyard Ultra World Championship. The course combines non-technical trails and pavement with minimal elevation gain, set in the traditional territory of the Southern Secwepemc First Nation, celebrated for its community spirit. The format requires runners to complete a 6.706 km loop each hour until only one runner remains, with a strict hourly start ritual and a final victory loop.
