BC Backyard Ultra

The BC Backyard Ultra is an endurance running event held at Sicamous Public Beach Park in Sicamous, British Columbia, within the Traditional Territory of the Southern Secwepemc First Nation. The race features a unique backyard ultra format where runners complete a 6.7 km (4.167 miles) loop every hour, on the hour, until only one runner remains. The course combines non-technical trails and pavement with minimal elevation change, fostering a supportive community atmosphere with cheering and camaraderie.

The event supports the Canadian Championship Series and Big Dog’s Backyard Ultra World Championship, offering cash prizes and championship invitations to winners.
