The Barßel Harbor Festival Run is an annual running competition held in Barßel since 2008, organized by runners for runners. The event includes various running categories, such as a 10 km run, a 5 km run, Nordic walking, as well as student and children's runs. The course takes participants through the picturesque surroundings of the Barßel harbor and is officially measured, making the achieved performances eligible for record lists.
