Barnie's Place 5K Race: Go the Extra Mile
Barnie's Feline Rescue hosts a run/walk at Cosmopolitan Recreational Park Area in Columbia, Missouri to support its work with community cats. The event takes place at the park located at 1615 Business Loop 70 W, Columbia, MO 65202.
The course is three laps of the park loop; each loop measures 1.25 miles, for a total distance of 3.75 miles. Course maps will be available the morning of the event. The National Anthem will be played immediately before the start.
General registration opens on March 22, 2026. The entry fee is $30; a T-shirt is included for participants who register before May 24, 2026. Day-of registration will be handled at the Lamb Shelter (park map location #28).
Friendly dogs and cats may accompany participants or remain on the sidelines. All pets must be on a leash and under the control of their handler at all times. There will be no official timing system; a time clock or person will record finish times. Medals will be awarded to the first three finishers in the male, female, and dog/pet categories.
