18th Annual Barnes Drug Store 5K Fun Run & Splash Dash
The 18th Annual Barnes Drug Store 5K Fun Run & Splash Dash is scheduled for July 18, 2026 at Barnes Drug Store, 200 South Patterson Street, Valdosta, Georgia 31601. The event features a 5K running race that is held as an annual community fundraiser.
All proceeds and donations will be matched dollar for dollar up to $100,000. Funds raised and matched will benefit Sandy's House, a local organization that operates a 12 month residential faith based program for women aged 18 and older who are suffering from addiction. Sandy's House opened on March 21, 2022 and provides housing, education, and spiritual training for women recovering from alcohol and drug addiction.
Since 2009, Barnes Drug Store reports having raised and donated over $1 million through the annual 5K event. In 2025 the event raised over $600,000 for Evans Memorial Camp. Community companies, organizations, and individuals contribute support for the event and its fundraising goals.
Registration opens on December 17, 2025 and closes on July 18, 2026. The standard registration fee is $35.00. Registrations completed before June 30 are $30 and include a t-shirt; registrations after June 30, including day of registrations, do not include a t-shirt.
