Bärenkopplauf

The Bärenkopplauf is a popular mountain and trail running event held in the scenic Naturpark Rhein-Westerwald, specifically along the "WällerTour Bärenkopp." This challenging race covers a distance of 11 kilometers with an elevation gain of +360 meters and a descent of -260 meters. It takes place annually on the first Friday in August and features staggered starts to accommodate participants. In addition to the main event, there is also a children's race called the Bärchenlauf, which includes various age categories.
