Banbury Triathlon 2027
Banbury Triathlon takes place on 16 May 2027 at Woodgreen Leisure Centre in Banbury and is organised by Team Cherwell. The venue features a 50m outdoor heated pool and on-site changing facilities. The car park at the leisure centre is used as the event transition area.
The event offers multiple race formats, including Aquabike and team relays. Swim stages are held in the pool and include entry and exit steps. Bike stages follow an undulating 20 km road route that heads out towards the Cotswolds. Run stages are out-and-back, roughly 5 km on mixed, undulating surfaces. Transitions are about 50 m, include steps, and are located more than 20 m from the first stage.
Expected competitors are around 250 and the event is listed in the South Central region; the permit is in progress.
