Banbury Triathlon 2026
Banbury Triathlon takes place on 17 May 2026 at Woodgreen Leisure Centre, Park Road, Banbury. The event is organised by Team Cherwell and is listed as sold out. The organiser is partnering with The Rivers Trust.
The event offers three main race formats and a relay option for the sprint distance. All pool swims take place in a 50 m heated outdoor pool. The bike course covers 20 km through the rolling Oxfordshire countryside. The run is a 5 km out and back course on mixed terrain.
- Sprint: 750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
- Super Sprint: 400 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
- Aquabike: 750 m swim, 20 km bike
Races are open to individual competitors for Sprint, Super Sprint and Aquabike. Relay teams are accepted for the Sprint distance only. Participation requires either membership of British Triathlon or a single use Race Pass. The event was promoted with a limited number of places and is currently sold out.
