Banbury Triathlon 2026
Banbury Triathlon 2026 takes place on 17 May 2026 at Woodgreen Leisure Centre on Park Road in Banbury. The event offers multiple race formats held around a 50 m heated open air pool, with cycling on local Oxfordshire roads and a mixed terrain out and back run course.
Distances and formats include:
- Sprint: 750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run.
- Super Sprint: 400 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run.
- Aquabike: 750 m swim, 20 km bike.
Swims are conducted in the open air 50 m heated pool rather than open water. The bike route runs through rolling Oxfordshire countryside and the run is an out and back mixed terrain course. Relay teams may enter the sprint triathlon only; individual entries are accepted for sprint, super sprint and aquabike.
Participants must either hold membership with the national triathlon federation or obtain a single use race pass for the event. The event is organised by Team Cherwell Triathlon and is staged in partnership with The Rivers Trust. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
