Balmorhea Family 1 Mile and 5K Race
The Balmorhea Family 1 Mile and 5K Race is held at Balmorhea City Park in Balmorhea, Texas. The event offers two measured distances:
- 5K (3.1 Miles)
- 1 Mile
The entry fee is $10 per event. 5K registration opens 03/31/2026 and closes 05/25/2026. 1 Mile registration opens 04/02/2026 and closes 05/24/2026. Same-day registration may be available but is not guaranteed. Check-in and bib pickup are provided, and a place to store personal belongings will be available next to the finish area.
The event is family friendly and open to ages three and up. Participants may run or walk; strollers are allowed and pets are not permitted. The race is timed and age group awards will be given for competitive entrants. Water stations will be available along the course.
Proceeds from the event will support a school project in Chad, Africa, focused on building new classrooms. Donations are accepted in addition to entry fees. After the race, a brunch and swimming opportunity at Balmorhea State Park is available for those who choose to join. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
