Baker Lake Classic 25k
The Baker Lake Classic is a 25k (15.6 mile) trail run held on Sunday, October 4, 2026, along the eastern shore of Baker Lake in the Mt Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. The course begins on Baker Lake Trail #606, follows 13.3 miles of single track on Baker Lake Trail #610, and finishes after 1.6 miles on Baker Dam Road at the Upper Baker Dam and Kulshan Campground.
The trail runs through old growth forest and regrowth douglas fir, passes burned snags from a historical eruption and fire, and offers periodic views of Mt Baker. Trail features include the Baker River Suspension Bridge, small creeks, slippery mossy footbridges, and a log with a cable to assist crossing Anderson Creek. The course has approximately 3400 feet of elevation change and rolling terrain with many rises and descents.
Race registration closes October 3. Entry fee is $80 with an additional processing fee shown at checkout; race shirts are available for purchase. Registration includes transportation to the race start, aid stations, awards, and food and beverages at the finish. There are two water only aid stations on the trail and a start area with snacks, water, electrolyte drink, portable toilets, and heated tents. Runners may leave drop bags at the start to be transported to the finish; valuables should not be placed in those bags.
Kulshan Campground, owned by Puget Sound Energy, offers free first come first served campsites for runners and guests with heated restrooms, picnic tables, fire rings, and an RV dump station but no showers. The event generally does not offer refunds or bib transfers, though a one time deferral is allowed; specific refund and deferral rules apply if the event date changes or the event is cancelled.
