About the race
The 42nd Baden-Marathon in Karlsruhe is scheduled for 20 September 2026. The event comprises several competitions that take place in and around Karlsruhe and includes races for adults, teams, and children.
Available competitions and distances:
- Marathon, currently sold out.
- Half marathon, currently sold out.
- Team-Marathon, with 2 and 4 person teams introduced this year.
- AOK Gesundheitslauf, distance 6.1 km, aimed at running beginners and hobby runners.
- VITREA Inklusionslauf, distance 4.1 km, run by inclusive runner duos.
- Sparkassen Mini-Marathon for children and youth aged 3 to 15, held on 19 September 2026 with distances 333 m, 2.1 km, 4.2 km.
Marathon and half marathon runners may be accompanied on the last 4 kilometres by one or more marathon angels. Registration for the mini-marathon is open. Information about regional running groups and a calendar of preparatory runs for 2026 is published for interested clubs and training groups.
