2026 Backroads Gravel
The 2026 Backroads Gravel event marks the fifth edition of this off-road competition held in Nabawa, Western Australia. This multi-discipline event features both gravel cycling and running categories, taking place on a variety of road surfaces including gravel and trails.
Participants can choose from a wide range of running distances:
- Marathon Gravel Run (minimum age 18)
- Half Marathon Gravel Run (minimum age 16)
- 14 km Trail Run (minimum age 16)
- 5 km Gravel Run (minimum age 8)
The event also includes several gravel cycling distances, such as a 160 km (100 mile), 100 km, 65 km, 20 km, and 10 km ride. Some cycling categories, including the 65 km, 20 km, and 10 km events, are open to E-Bikes.
Located in the Chapman Valley region, the event serves as a fundraiser for the Midwest Charity Begins at Home organization. On-site camping options are available for participants, and various registration tiers are offered throughout the year, including summer, autumn, and winter pricing phases.
