B&A Trail Marathon and Half Marathon
The B&A Trail Marathon and Half-Marathon take place in Severna Park, Maryland, starting at Severna Park High School. First organized by the Annapolis Striders in 1992, with the half marathon added in 1996, this event offers a course along the B&A Trail.
The following distances are available:
- Marathon (26.2 miles)
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
The marathon course remains open until 1:00 PM. Participants who require more time to finish may request a 30 minute early start, though those who utilize this option are not eligible for awards. The marathon is designed for runners capable of maintaining a pace of approximately 12:36 minutes per mile.
Registration for both distances is available during a set window toward the end of the year preceding the race. The event is situated on a paved trail surface, providing a flat environment for runners. Participants receive support throughout the course duration.
