AZ SUNRISE SERIES - Freestone Park is the fourth leg of the 13th Annual Arizona Sunrise Series, held on June 27, 2026 at Freestone District Park in Gilbert, Arizona. The event features an in-person 5K and a Virtual Run option. The in-person 5K is limited to 700 participants. Virtual registrations are restricted to US addresses and include event medal and swag shipped after the event.
Registration, course and logistics
The event offers tiered registration pricing and also accepts race day registration for a higher fee; race day payment methods include cash and credit. Packet pickup is available the day before at Road Runner Sports in Tempe and on race day at Freestone Park. The 5K is chip timed with real time results and event photos available online and via a mobile app. Amenities include extra water stations along the course, a pre- and post-race refreshment selection, and custom series medals and event swag choices. Male and female age group awards are given to the top three in each age group. Participants may start via an open start period before a traditional mass start; no starts are allowed after the mass start. Wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons are welcome. Roller blades, skateboards, and motorized devices are not allowed on the course. The event runs rain or shine and does not offer refunds or transfers for weather.
