AZ SUNRISE SERIES - Freestone Park
The AZ Sunrise Series returns to Freestone District Park in Gilbert, Arizona on June 27, 2026. This event is the fourth leg of the 13th Annual Arizona Sunrise Series and takes place at Freestone District Park on East Juniper Avenue.
The in-person event features a 5K distance and is limited to 700 participants. A Virtual Run option is offered for U.S. addresses only; virtual participants receive event items by mail after the event date and will receive the main series medal plus the attachment for this event only.
Included items and services: custom series medal, a custom event swag choice (arm sleeves, dri-fit racerback tank, sleeveless shirt, or short sleeve shirt), extra water stations along the course, chip timing with real time results and event photos, and pre- and post-race food and drink items. Male and female age group awards are given to the top three finishers in each age group, which range from 8 & Under up to 80 & Over.
Packet pickup is available the day before at Road Runner Sports in Tempe (Tempe Marketplace) and on event day at Freestone Park. Race day registration is available at a higher fee and shirt sizes for race day registrants are not guaranteed. Wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons are welcome; roller blades, skateboards, and motorized devices are not permitted. Walkers and leashed pets are allowed. The event runs rain or shine and there are no refunds or transfers due to weather.
Series scoring awards points for each completed event; top point earners and participants who complete at least four of seven series events are entered into a prize drawing that includes gift card awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
