AuSable River Festival G.R.A. 10k & 5k
The AuSable River Festival G.R.A. 10k & 5k is a road racing event held in Grayling, Michigan, as part of the broader AuSable River Festival. The event takes place at the Hanson Hills Recreation Area, which serves as the central location for check-in and the starting point for the races.
Participants can choose between two road race distances:
- 10 km (6.2 miles) road race
- 5 km (3.1 miles) road race
The 10 km event is designated for runners only, and walkers are not permitted for this specific distance. Both races utilize chip timing to ensure accurate results for all competitors. The first 250 participants to register are provided with a custom t-shirt and a participant medal. Individual awards are presented to the overall male and female winners of the races.
All individuals participating in the event are entered into a raffle for a chance to win a pair of running shoes provided by a local outfitter. Registration is available online in advance or on the morning of the event at the recreation area. The event may utilize wave starts depending on the number of participants.
