AuSable Valley Triathlon
The AuSable Valley Triathlon takes place on June 13, 2026, in the Huron National Forest area of Michigan. The event begins at the Boat Launch on Pond Drive at Mio Pond in Mio and finishes at Boney Park in Fairview.
The race distance totals 15 miles and is composed of the following legs:
- 1 mile kayak on river backwaters
- 11 miles bike on paved roads
- 3 miles run on grass and dirt trails
The event accepts individual entrants and teams of two or three members. Medals are awarded to first-place teams in the men's, women's, and mixed categories, and to first through third places in seven individual categories. The organizer describes the event as intermediate in difficulty. Lunch and a t-shirt are included with the entry fee.
Registration opens January 19, 2026, and closes April 14, 2026. The registration fee is $35.00. Kayak rentals are available from the listed outfitter for $25; participants should request a rental through the event contact form and then arrange the rental with the outfitter.
