AuSable Valley Triathlon
The AuSable Valley Triathlon is an individual or team multisport event held in Mio and Fairview, Michigan. The course runs through the historic Huron National Forest, beginning at Mio Pond on the Au Sable River and finishing at Boney Park in Fairview. Teams may include two or three members.
Distances:
- 1 mile kayak
- 11 miles bike
- 3 miles run
The event uses kayaking on river backwaters, biking on paved roads, and running on grass and dirt trails. Past participants described the event as low-key and friendly. Organizers describe the course as intermediate in difficulty.
Medals are awarded to first-place teams in men's, women's, and mixed categories. Individual competitors receive awards for first through third places across seven categories. Lunch and a t-shirt are included with entry.
