Atkins Watermelon Days 5k Walk/Run or 1-Mile Fun Run 2026
Atkins Watermelon Days takes place on Saturday, August 8, 2026, with start and finish at the Atkins City Park Pavilion on the west side of the park. The course runs on local streets and the 5K event will be chip timed. Packet pickup is available at the Atkins City Park Pavilion before the race.

- 1 Mile fun run
Registration details differ by event: registration for the 5K opens April 1, 2026, and registration for the 1 Mile opens April 20, 2026; registration closes August 8, 2026. The registration fee is $30 and includes a t-shirt for registrations completed by July 13, 2026.
Awards are presented by division and overall. Medals will be given to the top three places in each age division. Trophies will be awarded to the overall male and female finishers in the 5K. The top three overall finishers in the 1 Mile will receive awards. Age divisions for both sexes are: 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.
