Athlone AC Half Marathon and 10k
Organized by the Athlone Athletics Club, the Athlone AC Half Marathon and 10k takes place in County Westmeath. Both distances follow an out and back route that starts and finishes on the TUS Athlone Campus running track. The courses incorporate sections of the Athlone-Mullingar Greenway.
The event offers two distinct distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10 km
Participants receive their registration materials via post, including bib numbers and event apparel. Participants in the Half Marathon receive a half-zip top, while those in the 10 km receive a T-shirt. All finishers are presented with a race medal upon completing their distance.
The permit for this event has been approved under certificate number 26/66. Following the conclusion of the races, light refreshments are provided for participants at the Student's Union Hub on the TUS campus. The event utilizes a flat track for the start and finish segments, transitioning onto the local greenway infrastructure for the main portion of the course.
