ASYMCA Village People 5K
The ASYMCA Village People 5K is a fundraising event on June 6, 2026, hosted by Barrow Brewing Company in Salado, Texas. The event benefits the Armed Services YMCA; ASYMCA programs support military and veteran families with services such as food assistance, childcare, travel support, deployment resources, and wellness programs.
The course is an out-and-back 5K that starts and ends at the brewery and passes through historic downtown Salado. The event is walker and dog friendly. Participants are encouraged to dress in Village People-themed costumes and to include music and dancing as part of the atmosphere.
Registration opened on December 21, 2025. Online registration is available through June 4, 2026 for a fee of $45; on-site registration on the event day is listed at $55. Registrants who register by May 23, 2026 are guaranteed a t-shirt. Packet pickup is available at the brewery the evening before and on the morning of the event; same-day registration is available if the race has not sold out.
Participants receive a commemorative t-shirt, a pint at the finish line or nonalcoholic beverages with ID verification, and a finishers medal.
