ASYMCA Village People 5K - Salado, TX
Barrow Brewing Company hosts a 5K run that benefits the Armed Services YMCA. ASYMCA programs supported by the event include food assistance, childcare, travel support, deployment resources, and wellness programs for military and veteran families.
The route starts and ends at the brewery and follows an out-and-back course through historic downtown Salado in Central Texas. The event is walker and dog friendly. Participants are encouraged to dress as Village People and to dance or sing along during the run.
Registrants receive a t-shirt, a pint at the finish line or a nonalcoholic beverage if preferred and when IDs are checked, and a finishers medal. The commemorative, stackable medal interlocks with the other two medals from Barrow Brewing Company's 2026 race series. Packet pick up is at the brewery on Friday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. and on Saturday starting at 5 a.m. Same-day registration, if not sold out, also begins at 5 a.m. Registration fee is $45.
