Arizona Half Marathon

Arizona Half Marathon, Peoria AZ

The 2027 Arizona Half Marathon takes place on February 28, 2027, at Rio Vista Park in Peoria, Arizona (8866 West Thunderbird Road). This is the sixth annual running of the event and it includes in-person and virtual participation options.

The event offers the following distances:

• Half Marathon
• 10K Run/Walk
• 5K Run/Walk
• Virtual Run

Courses follow the New River Trail System on asphalt and concrete and start and finish at Rio Vista Park. The trail remains open to the public during the event and courses are subject to change if the Race Director deems them unsafe.

Support on course is provided with water stations at multiple mile markers for each distance. Water station locations include:

• Half Marathon: miles 1.5, 3.1, 4.6, 6.15, 7.3, 8.45, 9.6, 10.7, 12.25
• 10K: miles 0.78, 2.25, 3.8, 5.35
• 5K: miles 0.78, 2.25

Restrooms are placed on course for the half marathon and 10K. GU gels are available on the half marathon course at miles 7.3 and 9.6. The half marathon has a four hour cut-off time. Timing is chip based with real time results and event photos available through the event website and mobile app.

All participants receive a custom finisher medal and a custom dri fit tech shirt, with options such as compression arm sleeves or socks and an upgrade to a Gildan hoodie. Male and female age group awards are given to the top three in each age group for race day participants only. Virtual entries are limited to U.S. addresses; virtual participants receive shipping of items after the event and instructions by email for submitting times.

Packet pick up is available at Road Runner Sports in North Phoenix prior to race weekend and at Rio Vista Park on race day. The event is stroller friendly with strollers and walkers required to start at the back, and leashed pets are allowed. There are no refunds or transfers for weather.
