Event overview
The Broomcorn 5K & 10K is part of the Arcola Broomcorn Festival in Arcola, Illinois. The festival is held the weekend after Labor Day and celebrates the town's broomcorn heritage. The running events take place on courses that run through and north of Arcola and finish in downtown Arcola.

- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
Runners may choose the 5K or 10K, and there is a recreational 5K walk option. The 5K course is entirely in town. Courses run on brick and other hard surfaces. The race provides police escorts, aid stations, and split times. Awards are given to the top three finishers in each age division and plaques are awarded to top overall finishers.
