About the race
The Arcola Broom Corn Festival Races take place on September 12, 2026 at Moore Memorial Park in Arcola, Illinois. The event offers running and walking options over measured distances held on town streets and brick or hard surfaces.
Distances:
- 10K: 10,000 meters (6.2 miles).
- 5K Run: 5,000 meters (3.1 miles).
- 5K Walk: 5,000 meters (3.1 miles).
The 10K course runs through and north of Arcola and finishes downtown Arcola. The 5K courses are entirely in town. Courses include police escort, aid stations, and split times for participants.
Registration opens February 1, 2026 and closes September 6, 2026. The registration fee is $25.00.
For safety, bicycles, roller blades, skateboards, and animals, leashed or unleashed, are not allowed on the race course. Baby joggers or strollers are permitted only for walkers and must begin behind other walkers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
