ARC Irene Trail Run/Walk : Centurion, Gauteng
The event is a trail run and walk hosted at the Irene Athletics Clubhouse inside the Agricultural Research Centre Irene, Nelmapius Drive, Irene, Centurion. Entry options cover a range of distances:
- 21 km trail
- 15 km trail
- 10 km trail
- 5 km trail
- 3 km trail (half trail, half road)
- 3 km kids and pensioners (half trail, half road)
- 5 km kids and pensioners
- 10 km kids and pensioners
- 15 km pensioners
- 21 km pensioners
Online entry fees are R80 for 3 km, R110 for 5 km, R130 for 10 km, R150 for 15 km, and R170 for 21 km. On-the-day entries incur an additional R30 except for children under 13 and adults over 60, who pay R80 with no extra on-the-day charge. Race numbers are issued on the morning of the event at registration.
Routes: trail routes are full distance with no loops; a road option uses roads within the ARC Irene grounds only. Water tables are provided on all routes. Walking or hiking is permitted on the 2 km, 5 km, 10 km and 15 km routes. Amenities at the venue include a clubhouse offering coffee, drinks and snacks, plus parking and venue entry.
Entry includes marked route, water tables, finisher medal and Vitality points. The event is not pet friendly. There is no license requirement to participate. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
