About the race
ARC Irene Trail Run/Walk takes place at the Irene Athletics Club inside the Agricultural Research Centre Irene in Centurion, Gauteng. The event offers multiple trail distances with separate categories for kids and pensioners.

Entrants receive their race number on the morning of the event when they register. Online pre-entry fees are R80 for 3 km; R110 for 5 km; R130 for 10 km; R150 for 15 km; and R170 for 21 km. On-the-day entries incur an additional R30 except for children under 13 and adults over 60, who pay R80 with no extra on-the-day charge.
Routes are fully marked and are full distance with no loops. The road option uses roads within the ARC Irene grounds only. Water tables are available on all routes. Walking or hiking is permitted on several routes. Amenities at the clubhouse include coffee, drinks and snacks. The event is not pet friendly. Entry includes a finisher medal, venue entry, parking and Vitality points.
There is an option to donate the cost of the medal to a Make a Difference campaign supporting an animal shelter; donated medals and extra contributions are pooled for year-end donation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
