ARC Irene Road Run/Walk
ARC Irene Road Run/Walk takes place at the Irene Athletics Club inside the Agricultural Research Centre Irene in Centurion, Gauteng. The event is organised by Revolution Trails Trail Hound and is open to non club members; no licence is required.
Entries are available for multiple road distances. Race numbers are issued on race day at registration. Entry includes a marked route, water tables, a finisher medal, venue entry and parking. The road option uses roads within the ARC Irene grounds only and does not go onto public roads. Water tables are provided on all routes. Pets are not allowed. The clubhouse offers coffee, drinks and snacks.
A Make a Difference campaign gives participants the option to donate the cost of their medal; donated funds are planned to support an animal shelter. Payment methods accepted on the day include cash, card and SnapScan. Pre entry fees vary by distance and an additional on the day fee applies to standard entries; reduced pricing applies for children under 13 and adults over 60.
Route maps, elevation profiles and GPX files are provided by the organiser for each road option. Walking and hiking are permitted on several of the shorter routes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
