All races use the 6.5 mile (10.4 kilometer) Sonoran Competitive track loop. The route includes steep inclines, swooping turns, technical descents, and rugged terrain. Courses are marked with orange ribbons, reflective medallions, laminated signs, and checkerboard flagging to mark non-race trails.

Aid is provided at a main start/finish station and a remote North Ridge Aid at KM 6.4. Stations are stocked with water, ice, electrolyte drinks, salty and sweet snacks, fruit, peanut butter and jelly, bean rollups, and hot food such as quesadillas and grilled cheese. This is a cupless race; participants should bring a reusable cup or purchase one on site.

Crews may access the start/finish area and drop bag space is provided there. Pacers are permitted only for 52K runners beginning on the final loop. Parking is available adjacent to the Competitive Track; park entry fees apply. Camping is permitted in the Competitive Track parking lot with a separate camping permit. Medical staff are based at the start/finish and can provide on-site first aid. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
