About the race
Vertigo Night Runs is a series of night trail races held at White Tank Mountain Regional Park in Waddell, Arizona on August 8, 2026. Distances offered include:
- 52K
- 31K
- 20K
- 10K
- 6K
All distances use the Sonoran Competitive track loop, a 6.5 mile (10.4 kilometer) loop that features steep inclines, swooping turns, technical descents, and rugged terrain. Courses are marked with orange ribbons with black polka dots, reflective medallions, laminated signs at junctions, and additional flagging to indicate non-race trails.
Aid support includes a fully stocked start/finish aid station plus a remote North Ridge Aid station passed on each loop. Stations are supplied with water, ice, electrolyte drinks, salty and sweet snacks, fruit, pb&j, bean rollups, and hot food options. Yeti coolers and buckets are used along the course. This is a CUPLESS race; participants need a reusable cup or may purchase one on site.
Crews are allowed at the start/finish area for races. Pacers are permitted only for the 52K beginning on the final loop. A designated area for drop bags is available at the start/finish. Event parking is adjacent to the Competitive Track and the park charges a vehicle entry fee. Camping is permitted in the Competitive Track parking area with a separate permit. MedStar Solutions medical staff are based at the start/finish to provide on-site first aid. Expect hot conditions with temperatures in the mid to high 90s at the start, cooling into the 80s overnight. Pets are not allowed on-course and must be leashed if present at the event.
